Manchmal möchte ich auch einfach nicht erzählen, was mich inspiriert hat. Es reicht vielleicht zusagen, dass die Situation und die damit verbundenen Gefühle genauso echt waren, wie sie bedrückend waren. Irgendwie machte genau das sie auch auf seltsame Weise schön. Mit der Umsetzung selbst bin ich sehr zufrieden. Ich habe getroffen, was mir im Sinn lag: Die Farben, der Strich sowie Licht und Schatten wirken rund. Genießt es, lasst es auf euch wirken. Ich werde es mir wohl noch einige Male ansehen, solange ich noch kann.

Sometimes, I simply don’t want to say what inspired me. It is perhaps enough to say that the situation and the emotions attached to it were as real as they were oppressive. Somehow, that is precisely what made them beautiful in a strange way.
However, I am very satisfied with the execution itself. I managed to capture what I had in mind: the colors, the brushwork, and the interplay of light and shadow all feel just right.
Enjoy it; let it sink in. I’ll likely look at it a few more times myself, while I still can.
